"There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long-range risks of no action..."
John F. Kennedy
It amazes me when you run across a quote that is a reflects a solid correlation of TODAY and all that is transpiring on so many different levels. Yet, look who said this, John F. Kennedy who has been gone for decades.
We applaud those on the front lines that are taking the risks and costs to action now! Can you imagine the long-range risks to our Nation if NO ONE was stepping up to the front lines?
Now let's take this quote into another direction through a story.
Sue-Mae was at the peak of her career. She and her husband had raised five beautiful children who were now all adults. All have finished college and are independently successful enjoying life and careers/marriage
.
Sue-Mae and her husband had their retirement accounts in place, medical insurance, life insurance and they even had a few bucks in the market. Sue-Mae had always been healthy, aside from the very rare occasional cold or flu. She was an avid believer in alternative meds and so took ample vitamin supplements that assured her body was in top performance.
However, something happened towards the end of 2021 that she never expected. She caught COVID 19. Lucky she was prepared and had been taking her Vitamin D & K, Zinc, and Vitamin C along with her other arsenal of supplements. She even had Ivermectina on hand. As a result, Sue-Mae only experienced a mild case of COVID 19. It came and went with no long
term-effects, so she thought. The only thing that seemed to linger was the constant fatigue and she struggled with breathing. After a few months of this Sue-Mae decided to address this with her doctor during her Annual Physical Exam. Her doctor said she was in good health, no serious problems, ...except ...he discovered that the COVID 19 had left her with deep set Pneumonia in both lungs. She was put on immediate antibiotics and oxygen.
Sue-Mae felt she could handle that, but what she wasn't expecting was the breast exam showed she had aggressive breast cancer. All she could think about was the battle ahead for her health along with the upcoming health bills. These could seriously put a dent in their current retirement portfolio. She found an excellent Cancer Treatment Center that had a high success rate with
breast cancer patients along with other cancers. She loved the fact that they did not use the toxic traditional methods for treatment. The Treatment Center was out of the U.S. and very expensive. They did not take insurance.
Sue-Mae had recalled her insurance professional recommended she take action and get a Critical Illness Policy. Sue-Mae was reluctant to put out the extra cost for the insurance at the time. She no longer can qualify for the coverage. Too bad, because one of the benefits was that she could have used the lump-sum payout on was to go to the Cancer Treatment Center of her
choice.
